SummerFest 2019 has been rescheduled.
The charity festival was due to take place on Sunday 16th June however the recent extreme weather, which is forecast to continue into next week, has forced organisers to postpone the event until Sunday 28th July in the interest of public safety and enjoyment.
Alongside Dudley Council and venue management at Himley Hall, representatives of the Hospice took the difficult decision to postpone the event after the yellow-weather warning rainfall meant the ground at the park was unusable.
Artists such as Scouting For Girls and Becky Hill were due to headline the festival which raises funds for Mary Stevens Hospice each year and have agreed to return later in the summer to ensure the event can still go ahead in support of the Hagley Road charity.
Supporters who have pre-booked tickets will still be able to use them at the new event or can get a full refund by contacting the Hospice fundraising department on 01384 377 778 or emailing: email@example.com.
Laura Amy, SummerFest event organiser, Mary Stevens Hospice: “Obviously this has been such a difficult reality to come to terms with and we would just like to start by thanking every single partner of this event who has rallied and done everything they can to ensure we can put this event on later in the summer.
We commit to creating incredible memories for our supporters which also make our care possible for families when they need us the most and we are so grateful for the understanding we have had from our supporters in being forced to reschedule this event.
It goes without saying that it’s not been an easy decision to make, however we can ensure everyone involved that this event will happen and we hope to see thousands of families there with us on Sunday 28th July having the time of their lives!”

The event is being run in partnership with Signal 107 and Sadler’s Brewery.
