A local HR consultancy is launching a series of People Management Skills workshops to help managers and supervisors from all sectors enhance their ability to maximise staff productivity and ultimately increase business performance.
Shrewsbury-based Triangle HR is planning on staging a number of practical workshops to help local business managers and supervisors in both small and large firms alike improve their management capabilities. The firm is also on the lookout for experienced trainers and HR professionals who are interested in sharing their expertise and keen to facilitate the workshops.
Set to start early in the new year, the workshops will focus on helping attendees develop a broad range of ‘softer’ management skills, and will cover topics such as conducting disciplinary and grievance procedures and dismissals in the workplace, managing poor performance, and handling sickness absence and stress, along with best practice recruitment and selection techniques.
“Whilst different organisations will be used to their own internal practices, we really want to support local businesses to ensure they apply best practice in all cases, and more importantly, that they are compliant with UK employment legislation,” Justine Vaughan, Founder and Director of Triangle HR, explained.
“It’s crucial that businesses focus on the core management skills and techniques required and that’s what we’re keen to develop. What we’re aiming for with these upcoming workshops is to provide a framework that encourages HR consultants and business managers from various sizes and sectors of business to come together, share best practice, and pass on valuable case study experiences that will help improve business performance across the county.”
Justine and other members of the Triangle HR team will be taking a lead role in delivering the workshops, but in the true spirit of collaboration and knowledge-sharing, senior HR professionals and trainers from other businesses are also being invited to head up a number of the sessions.
