A leading Shropshire HR consultancy is starting the New Year in style with the launch of a dedicated training division to help business owners, team leaders, and supervisors develop their managerial skills.

Starting later this month [January], Triangle HR’s new Triangle Management Training Ltd arm will deliver a series of group workshops covering a broad range of core employment topics, giving delegates a fantastic opportunity to develop their skills and share expertise in a confidential environment.

Training workshops will focus on subjects such as handling disciplinary and grievances, managing sickness absence and stress in the workplace, right the way through to best practice recruitment and selection, managing performance, conducting appraisals and handling redundancies and reorganisations. The sessions will be run by a team of highly-experienced HR professionals and accredited trainers to deliver workshops in their particular area of expertise.

“While it’s fair to say effective management skills are developed through experience, it’s just as important that business owners, team leaders, and supervisors also have all the necessary technical know-how and knowledge,” Justine Vaughan, Founder and Director of Shrewsbury-based Triangle HR, explained. “With these workshops, we’re aiming to support businesses and enable them to apply best practice across all areas of leadership and management, as well, of course, as making sure they comply with all relevant UK employment legislation.

“Even though different organisations will be used to their own internal practices, it’s crucial they focus on the core management and leadership skills needed to maximise staff performance, increase productivity, and generally improve their business’s bottom line.”

The majority of the workshops will be delivered from Triangle HR’s extended office space in Knights Court, Battlefield Enterprise Park, Shrewsbury, although there is also scope for sessions to be delivered on-site at larger employers, or organisations outside of the county, who are interested in developing the skills of a number of staff members.

“In essence, these workshops are about giving managers and supervisors the toolkit to help them manage such issues in the workplace. For example, some staff may be highly competent in specific matters, such as conducting job interviews, but may need a helping hand to develop their expertise and confidence in other areas like dealing with workplace conflict or recognising discrimination. And once the workshops are over, delegates will also have access to a suite of useful factsheets and written guidance, as well as the opportunity for regular updates and discussions with our team of advisors.

“This ongoing support through Triangle Management Training Ltd mirrors the culture and values that have helped us make Triangle HR such a success in our four years in business. Compared to similar training workshops currently available, it offers real added-value and will not only help organisations be more efficient in their day-to-day operations, but also enable them to become a real ‘employer of choice’ with a reputation for excellence and professional development.

“We’ve got some truly fantastic professionals and trainers in place to deliver our workshops, and have already received phenomenal interest from businesses across Shropshire and further afield who are keen to attend. Any business owner or manager looking to reserve a space, or anyone interested in simply finding out more about the range of workshops on offer, should get in touch by calling 01743 444007 or email,” Justine concluded.
