Local brewery launches special edition charity beer in support of Breast Cancer Haven

Hillside Brewery, based in Longhope, has combined forces with Breast Cancer Haven to raise awareness of breast cancer as well as raise vital funds to help fight the disease.

The brewery, which was founded by Paul Williamson in 2014, has created a limited edition Pale Ale called ‘Hillside Haven’. For every bottle of Hillside Haven sold, 50p will be donated to Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford during the month of October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Breast Cancer Haven provides a tailored package of emotional, physical and practical support to all those affected by breast cancer. In the last year, Breast Cancer Haven’s Hereford centre has provided support to 379 local people.

To celebrate the collaboration, local businesses are invited to the Launch Networking Party, held at the idyllic Hillside Brewery Venue on the 1 October. Julie Nicholas, Corporate and Community Fundraiser, Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford will be speaking alongside Paul Williamson and Jo Hilditch, Founder of White Heron Drinks.

Julie Nicholas, said: “It’s fantastic to have Hillside Brewery on board this Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This October, we want to highlight the devastating impact that breast cancer can have on the loved ones of the individual diagnosed and we’re really pleased that Hillside Brewery have chosen to help us get the message out.”

Paul Williamson, Founder of Hillside Brewery, said: “We all know someone affected by breast cancer and the huge impact it can have so we’re delighted to be able to support Breast Cancer Haven.”
