DTE Motoring Centre, a garage that specialises in MOT’s, car and van tyres, servicing and general repairs, has purchased its longstanding business premises with the support of a commercial mortgage from HSBC.
The funding has enabled the business to buy the purpose-built premises from which it has operated, and until now rented, since 2004. The site will help the business build a strong future by securing an asset of its own.
The independent garage, based at Hoo Farm Industrial Estate, Kidderminster, was acquired by current owner Paul Edgel in 2005.
Paul Edgell, owner of DTE Motoring Centre, said: “I completed the purchase of DTE Motoring Centre more than ten years ago, and the business has grown year-on-year. HSBC’s support has enabled us to take ownership of the business premises, securing the company’s future and putting in place a viable succession plan.
“Training is an important and ongoing part of everyone’s job and helps ensure we stay ahead of our competitors. We offer an apprenticeship opportunity each year, and pride ourselves on helping to kick-start the careers of local students.”
Andy Willett, Area Director for Business Banking in the South West Midlands, said: “HSBC is committed to supporting ambitious British businesses like DTE Motoring Centre achieve their growth plans. The purchase of the garage means the company can now plan for the future with certainty.”
