A new first for Birmingham has been announced with agents CPBigwood bringing suburban and country homes to the heart of the city.

The idea is to interest high net worth individuals working in the central business district in properties across the likes of Harborne, Edgbaston, Barnt Green, Knowle, Dorridge, Solihull and throughout Warwickshire.

It has established a new base at its existing 104-106 Colmore Row office from where they will be marketed.

The initiative is already up and running with a rolling screen updating potential purchasers on what is available in the typically £400,000-plus range and staff on hand to advise those seeking more details.

The aim is to further develop the CPBigwood presence across the region and build on the firm’s well established and highly successful residential sales presence at Stratford-upon-Avon and Henley-in-Arden.

“This is unique to us,” said CPBigwood Head of Residential Agency Tom Dennes, who is masterminding the move.

“It is part of our continued strategy for expansion despite the on-going challenging market conditions. In difficult times vendors are looking for an edge in the marketplace and we believe that this will provide exactly that.

“Our Colmore Row office is in a prime location to appeal to busy executives – it is on the spot. Thousand of people are going to and fro there every day. It makes it much easier for them to take a look and maybe carve out a few minutes from their schedule to step inside and check out a property which has caught their eye.

“Clients selling suburban and country houses will be able to promote their properties to high net worth individuals who are working in Birmingham city centre but may not necessarily wish to live there. Our Stratford-upon-Avon and Henley-in-Arden offices do a fantastic job, but this will take it to a new level.”

CPBigwood partner Robert Simonds, who is also heavily involved in the project, added: “While others only promote city centre apartments from central Birmingham, this is completely different – we will do both.

“This is a new stage which we have not had in Birmingham before and we are confident it has a big future in terms of an enlarged service for clients and potential home owners alike. This is CPBigwood at the cutting edge of the housing market.”
