2019 brings a boost for Walsall

A fresh start for a local couple is set to boost the economy in 2019 as their new company specialising in at-home care for the elderly looks to create over 50 jobs.

Sonia and Suki Dehal from Walsall, owners of Home Instead Senior Care have set up the company which will provide home care services across the area including Willenhall, Rushall, Pelsall and Bloxwich.

Former banking business manager Sonia, who has studied health and wellbeing, has always wanted to do something to care for older people who she feels deserve to get the very best care and support in their later years.

Sonia explains, “I come from a very caring family and after witnessing the strain on my mum as she cared for my grandparents whilst also running the home and looking after 4 children. I knew that it was incredibly difficult to find the right support, advice and a care service which could help.”

Working alongside Sonia is her husband Suki, who has gained several years’ experience in the franchise sector whilst working for Lloyds Bank.

Suki said: “Both Sonia and I were impressed with the ethos of Home Instead Senior Care and we are very proud to be a part of this amazing company, bringing care and support to the Walsall community.”

Home Instead visits are a minimum of one hour, so their caregivers are not rushed. This also enables them to provide companionship which is so important, spending time having a chat, a cup of tea, going for a walk or to the shops.

Sonia added, “At Home Instead Senior Care we deliver care as it should be, spending time, caring for our clients, understanding how they want to be looked after as well as providing peace of mind for their families and loved ones.  This is why we are excited about providing home care that can help to maintain our clients independence for as long as possible and why we take time to carefully match our caregivers to our clients to ensure that they build long lasting relationships.”

Sonia and Suki are now on the lookout for like-minded individuals who are kind and compassionate and who may be interested in joining the company.

Home Instead Senior Care provides a service which is tailored to the needs of individual clients and ranges from companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, post-discharge care, medication reminders, shopping and errands. The service is totally flexible to meet client needs and is available from 1 hour to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
