Specialist recruitment agency, Woodrow Mercer are continuing to expand their ever growing team, as their Birmingham office thrives under the addition of its latest department.

The agency, having experienced tremendous success with their Leeds office which specialises in Finance recruitment, has since expanded the sector and launched its first specialist finance branch within Birmingham.

Originally launching in 2016, Woodrow Mercer’s Finance division came about as the result of a partnership with boutique finance advisory consultancy FDYL, whose 30 years of experience in the specialist search and selection of portfolio/part time finance directors, financial controllers and FDs and FCs, made for the perfect collaboration.

Continuing to grow and flourish since its opening, today Woodrow Mercer offers a recruitment solution for every stage of a financial career, right through to transactional roles and credit controllers; and by bringing in new appointments, Marcus Barnes and Minesh Parmar, Woodrow Mercer hopes to bring the roaring success of its Leeds finance division to the Midlands.

Both Marcus and Minesh have over 10 years of experience within the sharp end of the Midlands finance recruitment industry, allowing them to bring a unique edge to Woodrow Mercer’s Birmingham offices.

Thanks to their high profile experienced backgrounds, the agency will also be uniquely placed to help identify and appoint effective financial leaders across a broad range of industries as they work closely with a diverse range of clients from multinational corporations through to SMEs.

Aiming to make Birmingham a leading name in financial leadership, Woodrow Mercer’s latest appointments are a game changer for the agency’s latest Finance division and ushers in a new age that is sure to see the company going from strength to strength.

Marcus Barnes, Associate Director of Woodrow Mercer says: “The difference from working at a large recruitment business is definitely having the autonomy to make decisions that you believe are right for your desk, business and market and feeling like you have the immediate backing from the leadership and back office support teams.  We definitely have a true focus on our ‘quality first’ approach to recruitment.”

Minesh Parmar, fellow Associate Director of Woodrow Mercer, comments further: “I feel the service levels for our clients and candidates has risen as we don’t focus on quantity anymore, it’s really caring about people we invest our time with and being pro-active with their job search.”
