Warwickshire IT professional goes ‘downhill’ on the back of company success

acutec prizeAn IT professional in Warwickshire has gone ‘downhill’ after his firm secured a significant rise in sales.

ACUTEC, which is based in Coleshill, is one of Microsoft’s most valued partners in the UK and the company sources all of its Microsoft products from Milton Keynes-based Ingram Micro (UK) Ltd.

At the tail-end of 2014, Ingram Micro Cloud, a dedicated business unit of Ingram Micro (UK) Ltd for Cloud solutions, ran its Vertigo sales incentive programme, designed to reward the most successful partners selling Microsoft Office 365.

ACUTEC proved to be one of the strongest performing partner companies in the UK and managing director Chris Roche was drawn as one of the prize-winners, winning an action packed skiing trip to Val Thorens.

But instead of taking the glory himself, Chris has gave the prize to keen skier Hardeep Bains, the company’s IT infrastructure manager, who took to the slopes earlier this month.

Chris said: “For me, I am just delighted to see that we are performing so well. Clients are benefitting from the great partnership we have with Microsoft and with Ingram Micro and they are understanding what their products can do for their business.

“That is helping us to produce even better results for ACUTEC and that is highlighted by our standing in this competition.

“Of course, the prize is a bit of fun but it underlines our position in the market and that continues to grow.”

He added: “Hardeep is keen on skiing and snow sport so I thought it was only right that he took the trip!”

Ingram Micro is a master Cloud Service Provider (mCSP), offering channel partners and professionals access to a global marketplace, expertise, solutions and enablement programs that empower organisations to configure, provision and manage cloud technologies with confidence and ease

Apay Obang-Oyway, General Manager, Ingram Micro Cloud, stated: “We run a number of partner programmes designed to give our partners the resources, incentives and business model choices they need to drive both growth and profitability. Our latest programme – Vertigo – ran from November to December with a number of our partners successfully entering the ultimate prize draw. So we are naturally delighted to give ACUTEC this award, recognising the contribution they have made to sales of Microsoft Office 365 here in the UK.”
