Beaumont Lawrence, based in Sweetlake Court, Shrewsbury, has pledged to support the annual Business for Children Awards (BCAs) for the third year running.

As a father of three, Ben Lawrence, managing director of Beaumont Lawrence, said he recognises the importance of honouring organisations across the county, which educate, support or provide activities for youngsters.

He will sponsor the 300 branded goodie bags, which will be given to all delegates who attend the award ceremony on March 12 at the Park Inn Hotel, Telford.

Launched in 2014, the inaugural BCAs ceremony sees businesses from all over the county, of all different sizes, scooping awards in 12 different categories.

Previously Beaumont Lawrence has sponsored the Children’s Charity award, last year won by Hope House.

“This year we wanted to up our sponsorship and put more money into these fantastic awards,” said Mr Lawrence. “As a company, we recognise the importance of family life and want to make sure the businesses and charities which look after our county children are recognised.

“As a father myself, it’s great to know there are people out there ready to help if you need them and we should all celebrate the work they do.

“From the entries received, I know it’s going to be a tough job for the judging panel to choose the winners. I’m delighted to be sponsoring such a fantastic award ceremony.”

Beaumont Lawrence is a family-owned insurance firm, which has been working with businesses across Shropshire for more than 40 years.
