St John’s Junior FC Under 11s Tigers will be sporting the Ninian Way-based business’ logo during its 2019-20 season, with the company having provided both home and training kits for the boys.
The Year-six boys currently play in the Tamworth Junior Football League, playing at their home ground at Landau Forte Academy in Amington, and training each Wednesday.
Jonathan Ashford, Director, said: “When we formed the business last September, we committed to support the wider community where we could.
“When we were contacted by St John’s Junior FC seeking a sponsor for the U11 Tigers team, we thought it was a great opportunity to support grass roots football, and to start to get our name more well-known in the region.
“We wish the Tigers every success, and we’ll be keeping an eye on their fancy footwork in the months to come!”
Gemma Taylor-Whitehead, co-manager for the team, said: “The progress the players have made as they’ve advanced from the u8 squad to the u11s has been phenomenal, resulting in us winning the Sheila Scott cup in 17/18 season. We also won the Amington juniors tournament this summer, and we’re raring to go in our great new kits.
“Sponsorship is really important to us – it not only helps us as a team cover the costs of a new kit, but it gives us a working relationship with local businesses while providing them with valuable exposure. We’re delighted Ashford Green have supported us this season, and the boys are proud to be wearing the business’ branding over the coming months.”
