A local business woman has recently been recognised by Lord Sugar for her achievements in building a strong sales team and smashing sales targets over a six month period.
Sue Kay from Kidsgrove was one of the first people in the region to sign up as an Ambassador with Tropic Skin Care, a fast-growing beauty company established by Apprentice finalist Susan Ma and backed by Lord Sugar.
Having first heard of Tropic in September 2012, Sue signed up in March of this year and immediately started to work to put her local sales team in place.
Due to unprecedented sales and excellent team management Sue has risen swiftly through the Tropic ranks from Ambassador to Executive, a jump of five levels, in just six months.
Sue’s and her team’s achievements were recognised by both Lord Sugar and Susan Ma at a special event held in September at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.
Over 500 Tropic Skin Care Ambassadors and employees attended the Tropic ‘Winter Wonderland Glambassador Event’ which was all about recognition. Sue, who now has 5 Managers in her down-line business and 150 plus Ambassadors commented: “It has been a fantastic six months and having Lord Sugar recognise the achievements of my team was an incredible honour.
“Everyone in the team has worked incredibly hard but we all agree it’s so enjoyable that it doesn’t feel like hard work. I’m very excited about my future with Tropic, the product range is superb and the company is growing at phenomenal rate.”
Sue’s own central team won a spa day in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
Tropic Skin Care was started in 2007 by Apprentice finalist, Susan Ma, when she was 18. The company uses the strap line: ‘Pure. Honest. Effective.’, and all products are derived from 100% pure plant extracts, do not involve animal testing and are effective on all skin types. Lord Sugar was so impressed by the product and Ms Ma’s business acumen that he decided to invest as a 50/50 partner. Tropic’s turnover for 2013/14 is forecast at £2.2m with further growth expected.
