A Staffordshire Farm Shop and Delicatessen has been named Fine Food Digest Magazine’s ‘Deli of the Month’ for October.

Aston Marina, near Stone, features in the October edition of the speciality fine food and drink bible; which is widely read by independent delicatessens, farm shops, food halls and speciality food buyers. Being featured is something of a landmark achievement for the Marina, which opened in March 2010, as Director Helen Webb explains:

“We’re hugely excited to be named Deli of the Month – Fine Food Digest is the ‘must read’ publication for our trade, and to be recognised within the industry is a real achievement for the whole team behind the Deli and Farm Shop. For years, we’ve read the Deli of the Month section for inspiration, so to be featured is a real coup!

“This rounds off what has been a fantastic year for the Marina as a business – we have once again been recognised in the Great Taste Awards and are about to launch a brand new events venue that holds full licenses for weddings and civil partnership ceremonies, so we’re all very excited about what the future holds.”

From fresh local produce to speciality ingredients and foodie gifts, Aston Marina’s Farm Shop and Deli is a true ‘foodie haven’. Its Deli counter has been voted among the top 10 “Best British Cheese Counters”, whilst its butchery specialises only in meat and game reared within a 20 mile radius and to the highest standards of animal welfare.

To consolidate its growing reputation as a Staffordshire foodie hotspot, the Marina has entered the Farm Shop & Deli Awards, for which voting is now open.
