Staffordshire contact centre ringing up the numbers

Consumer car buyer WeWantAnyCar.com is adding more staff to its contact centre in Cannock as the number of nationwide branches continues to expand.

The company, which launched in 2009 now has 70 branches throughout the UK with a further 30 scheduled to open this year, “With each branch opening, we are seeing a significant increase in the number of enquiries coming into the head office”, says Angela Newton, Contact Centre Manager.

The inbound enquiries team has also seen a dramatic rise in calls over the last few months following a high profile national television advertising campaign that launched in January. The contact centre is currently handling on average 10,000 calls per week, which underlines the continued recent upsurge in the motoring industry. The rise in numbers of car buyers now turning to WeWantAnyCar.com in preference to retailers for part exchange deals is considerable and is having a positive effect on business.

“We are currently recruiting for more staff and expect by the end of the year to have doubled the number of employees within the centre to 40. Our call handlers deal with a host of enquiries from potential customers offering advice on valuations whilst also making outbound calls to book appointments to inspect vehicles on behalf of the branch network,” added Angela.
