Sir Martin Sorrell, Chief Executive and Architect of global marketing giant, WPP, will be delivering a free talk ‘Challenges of the new global economy’, at Aston University in Birmingham.
In his topical lecture, Sir Martin will talk about the threats to the global economy, the specific issues faced by the UK and Europe, and how growth can be fuelled.
WPP is world leader in advertising and marketing services. Under Sir Martin’s leadership, WPP has become the world’s largest communications services group, with over 162,000 people working across some 150 companies in 110 countries.
Sir Martin actively supports the advancement of international business schools, advising Harvard, IESE, and Indian School of Business, among others. Sir Martin is Chairman of IBAC London, IBAC Rome and IBAC Jerusalem.
The free talk takes place at Aston University on Monday 22nd April at 6.30pm, as part of the University’s MacLaren Memorial Lecture. This is an annual event held in partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to commemorate the life of James MacLaren, one of the most eminent industrialists in Birmingham’s history and one of the founding members of the Birmingham branch of the Chartered Management Institute.
