The whole community will get the chance to celebrate our Armed Forces by participating in the Warwick District Armed Forces Community Fun Day. The event takes place on Saturday 29th June from 11am to 3pm at the Fusilier Museum at St John’s House in Warwick.
There will be lots to do for all the family. The activities will include a bouncy castle, soft play, circus skills and sumo suits. Meet World War 2 (Royal Warwickshire Regiment), Home Guard and Home Front re-enactors who will bring history alive. Listen to military music by a Regimental Band and popular tunes from Ruby Ann Sings. Refreshments will be available – hot dogs, ice-cream (limited number free for children) and a pop-up cake stall. Plus a range of military and cadet information stalls. So come and join us for a fun packed day.
Stephanie Bennett, Curator said ‘I am so pleased that we are having a third Armed Forces Day at the museum. It is an honour to be able to host the event so that the whole of Warwick District have the chance to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community. It is great that Cadets from the Warwickshire ACF will be taking part in the event, some of whom are Fusiliers.’
This is a joint event with Warwick District Council and the Fusilier Museum Warwick working in partnership. The event has been made possible thanks to funding from Warwick Town Council, Armed Forces Day and Warwick District Council.
