Rees Page Solicitors are taking part in the Compton Care City Cycle Challenge on Friday 28th June 2019 at the Technology Centre University of Wolverhampton Science Park with Nick Wynn-Williams, Jim Murphy, Annita Howard, Samantha Brookes & Luke Harris forming their team of keen cyclists.
The Team will be competing in a 40 minute race on a static bike, pedalling as fast as they can to cover the longest distance to raise funds to support Compton Care in relation to the amazing care and support they offer not only for their patients who are living with the effects of complex and incurable illnesses but also their families.
There are prizes for the furthest distance cycled by a team and an individual, the top fundraising team and the best dressed team.
Annita has recently met with Simon Cater, who is the Charity’s Corporate Fundraiser to find out more about Compton Care. She said “It is phenomenal how much this charity needs to raise each year. It costs them around £10million every year to offer the support that they do. They receive government funding for around one-third of this amount, but the remaining funding must be raised, some of which is through from fund-raising events such as the City Cycle Challenge.”
Senior Partner Nick Wynn-Williams added “We are delighted to be involved with this event. We all want to know that our loved ones will be cared for when they need it most and Compton Care is our very own local charity providing essential support to local families. We hope to raise as much as we can to ensure that Compton Care can continue to provide this support in our local community for many years to come.”
