Ramboll makes key senior hires at growing Birmingham office

One of two new recruits, Jon Harding

Engineering and design consultancy Ramboll has announced the appointment of two senior figures in their central Birmingham office, Jon Harding and Adam Selvey. Jon joins from CH2M while Adam was previously with WSP. The hires represent another milestone in a period of continued expansion for Ramboll in Birmingham, after its recent office move to the Cornerblock building in the Colmore Business District.

Jon takes on the role of Highways Market Director, with over 25 years of experience as a chartered civil engineer. He previously held the role of Client Account Director for Highways England at CH2M, responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of major sales opportunities and establishing and guiding strategic bid teams. He was also charged with overseeing a varied portfolio of projects, ranging from highway management operations to organisational leadership. Jon will sit on the Ramboll UK management board.

Adam has been appointed as Director in the Building Services team, and joins from WSP with over 26 years’ experience in the design of mechanical, electrical and public health services. He has worked on a number high profile projects such as The Birmingham Bull Ring, Liverpool One and The Mall of Egypt.

Ramboll’s commitment to Birmingham is exemplified by the major project work with which it is involved. The Paradise Circus regeneration is one of the biggest of its kind in the UK and Ramboll is providing both civil and structurual engineering services to the project, located in the heart of the city. The consultancy is also involved in the ongoing and wide-ranging masterplan for the Parkside Building at Birmingham City University, helping to further drive growth in the region.

Commenting on the arrivals, Mathew Riley, UK Managing Director of Ramboll said:

Birmingham is at the heart of Ramboll’s plans in the UK, and we’re thrilled to be adding two more dynamic professionals to our team in the Second City.

Jon’s expertise in the Highways sector is second to none, and will be a great asset moving forward. Adam, meanwhile, will quickly become a key figure in our Building Services team.

Each of them brings a powerful authority in their sector, and we cannot wait to see how they drive Ramboll forward.”
