Independent home care provider Radfield Home Care, which has established operations in Shrewsbury and Worcester, is bringing its unique brand of personal care services to Stafford with the launch of a new branch.

The family-run firm, which is headed up by GP Dr Hannah MacKechnie and her brother Alex Green, prides itself on providing discreet, professional care services that are carefully tailored to each client’s individual requirements, in the comfort of their own home. From more basic tasks like assistance with shopping and domestic cleaning through to specialist all-round care and medication, Radfield Home Care aims to help clients retain their independence; allowing them to remain living comfortably and safely in their own homes. Dr MacKechnie says:

“We offer a responsive and flexible service working closely with both family members and care professionals. In this way, we maintain the highest standards of care which we have been providing for over 30 years. The business was established in Shrewsbury and has naturally grown over the years, expanding to include our Worcester branch, and we’re now delighted to be able to offer our services in Stafford.

“We’re already providing services to a number of clients in and around the town, and have been busy recruiting a care team who have been hand-picked for their experience, qualifications and their personalities. Since undergoing our rigorous interview process, they have now been through our in-house training programme and are ready to start helping even more people live full, independent lives.”

Due to the fact that each and every Radfield Home Care client has their care package tailored to meet their specific needs, the company is able to offer a far more diverse range of services than other, larger, care providers. It can offer care for as little as a few days or weeks – for example following an operation or when family members are on holiday. It can also provide general companionship and accompanied visits and trips for those who don’t require personal care but would like the peace of mind of someone visiting them regularly and perhaps taking them out and about occasionally.

However, for those who require more comprehensive personal care, Radfield carers are fully experienced in assisting with everything from dressing and getting in and out of bed to offer assistance with bathing, washing, toileting and other personal care tasks as well as administering medication, within a schedule designed to fit within the client’s own, personal daily routine.
