Chris Green Media video partner Peter Barry of Green Shed Video has produced three case studies tackling some of the difficult situations that young people face, including self-harm, depression, anxiety, sexual and domestic abuse and loneliness.
Mentor Link, which has offices in Stourport and Worcester, is dedicated to supporting children and young people by providing them with a volunteer mentor, who offers listening support and guidance during difficulties in their lives.
Mr Barry, who is based near Evesham, said: “It was a real honour to work with the charity’s volunteer mentors to develop the scripts and I had amazing support from mentor Sue Downing, a volunteer at the Rose Theatre in Kidderminster.
“Working on a limited budget and timescale, we filmed the Rose’s young actors re-enacting some heart-wrenching situations and showing what a positive and long-lasting impact the mentors can have.”
Andrea Maddocks MBE, founder and chief executive of Mentor Link, added: “Working with Chris Green Media, in particular attending their Business Media Club, has given me the knowledge and confidence to promote the services we offer through different forms of media.
“We were able to secure funding to produce these powerful short films, which can now be viewed on our website at www.mentorlink.org.uk”
