Phil Jones Associates (PJA), the independent Birmingham-based transport planning consultancy, has announced the launch of PJA Engineering, offering a full-service approach to land development engineering design and delivery.
PJA Engineering will deliver core land development services; Infrastructure Design, Geo-environmental and Geotechnical engineering, together with Water Resources and Flood Risk assessments, and will be focused on delivering residential and commercial development projects nationwide.
As part of the expansion, PJA has appointed sector specialists Mike Poland, Chris Johnson and Becky Lowe to lead our new sectors, whilst Dan McCrudden and Jenny Mullen have also been appointed as Technical Leads.
A total of nine engineers have been recruited as part of the initial launch of PJA Engineering, bringing over 100 years’ combined experience in the marketplace, and the team are actively recruiting additional engineers to join the growing business.

Both PJA and PJA Engineering will be based in PJA’s Grade A office at Seven House in Longbridge, Birmingham, along with the company’s specialist traffic modelling subsidiary, Multimodal. With the launch of the new business, 40 members of staff will be working in the Birmingham office by May, under a phased recruitment process.
