Parogon Group’s Swan With Two Necks to unveil stunning refurbishment

The Swan with Two Necks

The Parogon Group is giving one of its best loved restaurants a brand new facelift this year.

The Swan With Two Necks in Blackbrook, will close from Monday 14th January and will officially reopen on Friday 15th February with a new look and menu.

Director of The Parogon Group, Richard Colclough said: “When we opened The Swan With Two Necks 11 years ago it was considered to be quite cutting edge, and a real revelation for the area. Things have moved on over the last decade, so The Swan With Two Necks needs to be refurbished to put it back to that same position and to bring it up to date.”

The country pub and restaurant will not only have brand new windows and sliding doors to the patio but the interior will be completely reconfigured.

The décor will be contemporary whilst maintaining the country pub look and feel. The “Glitter Room” as it’s affectionately known locally, will be extended to create a brand new private dining area for up to 16 people.

The fireplace area will become more enclosed to accommodate private parties of up to 30 who want to enjoy a casual experience with drinks and canapes. Booth seating will be installed to introduced a more relaxed feel to the restaurant and the bar is being removed and replaced with a brand new one.  The majority of the furniture is coming from Cheshire company, Style Matters.

Local firm, P Lally have been awarded the contract for this work after beating tough competition in the tender process. They were also involved in The Orange Tree and Blockhouse refurbishments, so have a good track record with the group.

The Swan With Two Necks will also be releasing a new menu which will be in-keeping with the new style. The current gastro pub favourites won’t be going anywhere but a fresh new element will be introduced including a brand new section of exciting small plates.  A new line up of continental and international beers are also being introduced to the bar and the new menu will be released during the refurbishment.

Richard added: “We’re excited to give The Swan With Two Necks the makeover it deserves. It’s a much loved country pub and restaurant within the area, so we want to give the locals a reason to fall back in love with it all over again. We don’t believe anywhere else in the area offers small plates and it is very popular in some of our other restaurants. We’re looking forward to seeing all of our locals, old and new, enjoying our fresh interior and menu.”
