Palletforce jobs fair attracts almost 100 people

Almost 100 people attended a jobs fair at Burton distribution giant Palletforce.

The award-winning pallet network, which has more than 100 depots across the UK and Europe, held a jobs fair at its central hub in Burton-upon-Trent to recruit fork lift truck drivers and apprentices.

Palletforce is looking to recruit full and part-time fork lift truck drivers as well as apprentices for its in-house Fork Lift Truck Driving Apprenticeship Academy.

“We were delighted to see so many people keen to explore the possibilities of a career with a growing company like Palletforce,” said Michael Conroy, Chief Executive of Palletforce.

“It was fantastic to see so many enthusiastic people excited about the opportunities to be part of an award-winning team in an expanding company and we will now be progressing further with potential candidates.”

During the evening people were able to talk to Palletforce staff about the academy and what it is like to work at the 400,000 sq ft hub which handles millions of pallets and delivers goods worldwide.

There was also the opportunity to tour the hub and speak to representatives from Derby College who work in partnership with Palletforce to provide apprentices with the opportunity to achieve an NVQ in warehousing and storage.
