Encore Personnel Services has beaten off stiff competition from companies around the UK to win the Best Company to Work For at the 2013 Institute of Recruitment Professionals Awards run by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) on Tuesday 3 December.
Added to this, Encore’s Operations Director Ray Metcalfe also won an award on the night, being recognised as the Business Manager of the Year 2013.
The REC’s Institute of Recruitment Professionals Awards are the most prestigious recognition an individual or company can receive and they celebrate professional excellence and inspirational work carried out across the recruitment industry.
The awards were held at the London Marriott Hotel and the awards presented by the BBC’s Jeremy Vine.
REC chief executive, Kevin Green, said: “Encore Personnel and Ray Metcalfe join an elite group of ambassadors for the industry who have set high standards to which all recruiters to aspire to. The high volume and calibre of entries this year demonstrates how hard recruiters work to demonstrate their professional standards.”
“UK recruiters find work for 1.1 million temporary workers every day and in 2012/13 found permanent jobs for 600,000 people.”
Commenting on the win Chris Hockey, Director, said, “We are delighted to have won these two awards as it bears testimony to the importance we place on investing in our people. We feel that over that last 10 years we have managed to create a dynamic, team driven and innovative culture that we are extremely proud of.”
“I have worked closely with Ray Metcalfe over the last 10 years, seeing him grow through the company from a resourcer to his promotion this year to Operations Director – so for him to win the award for Business Manager of the Year is testimony to all the hard work he puts in for Encore.”
