Leading law firm Lanyon Bowdler has taken on a new solicitor to strengthen its team following an expansion in North Wales.
The firm opened its new offices at Riverside Business Park in Conwy in May after identifying the need for a permanent base in the area to meet growing demand for its legal services.
Llinos Roberts joined the firm as a newly-qualified solicitor when the office opened and will specialise in commercial and agricultural areas of the law – assisting Edward Nutting, who heads the Conwy team.
Mr Nutting said: “Llinos knows the area extremely well and will be an excellent addition to our team. She is fluent in Welsh and English and able to take instructions in either language.
“She will be playing an integral role in helping me in the expansion of the commercial and agricultural property department in North Wales.
“The appointment of Llinos and the opening of our new Conwy office herald a new era for Lanyon Bowdler and will allow us to be better placed in acting for clients in this area.
“We already had a significant client base here but have seen a rise in the number of calls and enquiries since our new office opened.
“It affords easier access to the best advice, making it more convenient for clients to get face-to-face meetings without having to travel great distances.
“Lanyon Bowdler is able to provide a full range of legal services from our Conwy office and the commercial and agricultural areas of law are particularly in demand right now – which is why we needed to strengthen those specific fields of expertise with the appointment of Llinos.”
Llinos graduated from Cardiff University with a 2:1 degree in LLB Law and Welsh. She completed the Legal Practice Course with a distinction at the University of Law Christleton.
“I am delighted to have joined Lanyon Bowdler, a firm with such a highly-respected reputation within the legal profession,” she said.
“Being brought up on the family farm near Caernarfon, I feel I have a unique insight into farming and believe that this knowledge, my rural roots and excellent knowledge of the area will be of great benefit to the clients I will be working for.
“Many people converse regularly in Welsh in the rural communities of North Wales and being bilingual is another service I bring to the role – I am happy to act for clients in either language.”
Llinos loves travelling and can still be found helping out on the family farm in her spare time, particularly looking after her sheep.
