The first meeting of the year for Oswestry’s Networking Breakfast Club was held at Oswestry Cricket Club, where new officials were elected.
Organised by Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, the club meets every two weeks and creates an informal forum for local business delegates to get together, discuss ideas and generally socialise with like-minded people.
The meeting was given an illustrated talk by Arnie Glausiusz, sales manager of EvaStore, based at Artillery Business Park at Park Hall, Oswestry, who explained the procedures and importance of secure document storage.
Neil Bevan, of Hunter Bevan Marketing & Design, based at Knockin, was voted in as new chairman for the club and Oswestry woman Heather Noble, of Salt Solutions, was elected vice chair.
Chamber events organiser Teresa Rowe said: “The Oswestry members have voted and we believe that these two new officials are the perfect duo to take the group forward.
“They are very successful local business people who both know the area well and I am sure they will contribute greatly to the on-going expansion of the group.
“A recent survey has shown that well over £1m has been generated for local businesses through network meetings held across the county, which in itself is perfect testimony to the value of these clubs.”
Neil Bevan added: “As new chairman I am delighted to be leading such a positive and proactive group and I am looking forward to working with Heather, as we have several exciting plans to make the Oswestry Breakfast Club even more successful over the coming year.”
