Business advisory and accountancy firm Cooper Parry has appointed Laura Clarke to join its corporate finance team. Laura, who is ‘big four’ trained having been at Deloitte for four years, will take on the role of deal originator.
Laura’s remit is to create new business opportunities by building relationships with key contacts in growth market sectors. She will also lead a coordinated approach to new business development across Cooper Parry’s corporate finance team.
A core part of Laura’s role will be to work with Global M&A, Cooper Parry’s international partner, which specialises in cross border corporate finance transactions by drawing on a member base from around the world.
Laura said: ”I’m looking forward to creating a pipeline of opportunities which I hope will ultimately enable the team to win new international work. I want to maximise the extensive knowledge I have of the corporate finance sector to target new business prospects both in the UK and overseas.”
Sally Saunders from the Cooper Parry corporate finance team said: “Laura’s appointment is integral to our new business drive – after working on a succession of high profile deals, we are keen to keep the momentum going and showcase the wide range of services that we can offer to our clients.”
Cooper Parry’s corporate finance team provides services to UK and international businesses, venture capitalists, business owners and private equity firms on activities such as company acquisitions, MBOs, deals and equity sales.
The company has recently completed a refinance deal on behalf of Le Bistrot Pierre restaurant group, a US to UK company acquisition for Concept2 – a sports equipment firm – and a company sale for Border Merchant Systems, a specialist software product for the plumbing and building trade.
