gravity-new-faces-webThere are new faces at an award-winning Black Country insurance brokers as it looks to further strengthen key areas of the business this year.

Wendy Ashley, director, brings more than 30 years experience to the team and has been head hunted to run the day to day business of the high-flying firm, based in Priory Road, Dudley. She has joined from Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) where she was a branch director.

Matthew McCall has also been drafted in as affinities manager and is tasked with growing the Insure and Support partnership work with Wolverhampton Wanderers football club, which links Gravity and One Sure Insurance. Matthew was also formerly with JLT Group.

Finally, the team is being bolstered by account handler Sophie McDonough who brings a wealth of experience from her time with Arthur J Gallagher and Co.

The new faces aim to build on the successes of recent years which saw them win Broker of the Year in the prestigious West Midlands Insurance Institutes Awards.

Dale Collett, director at Gravity Risk Services, said: “We are always looking to grow the business and improve the way we do things for our clients. We have a number of new faces starting over the next few weeks and we’re delighted to have them on board.

“There are specific areas of the business we want to focus on and we are confident we have the right individuals joining the team to do that.

“Wendy is a highly respected and senior individual in the local insurance market. Her appointment demonstrates our commitment to recruiting exceptionally talented people who fit into our culture and can help us on our journey.”

The company started life in a garage back in February 2013. Just three years later the firm boasts more than 250 clients and £1.8million worth of business.

Gravity also secured the coveted Corporate Chartered Status from the Chartered Insurance Institute (cii) in March last year.
