Mills & Reeve has enjoyed another solid year of growth with turnover rising to £110.9 million – an increase of 4.3% on last year.
As a result of the strong financial performance the firm has announced an all staff bonus of £1,500 for every full time employee who has been with the firm for at least a year.
The results follow a year in which the firm won a number of accolades in recognition of the progress it has made in delivering its ambitious 2020 strategy. Over the last 12 months, Mills & Reeve has been named:
- UK Law Firm of the Year at the British Legal Awards
- Law Firm of the Year by the legal industry website RollonFriday
- 24th in The Sunday Times’ Best 100 Companies to Work For list – appearing for a record 16 years running
Meanwhile Mills & Reeve’s Birmingham office has had a great year so far, rising to become the fourth most active M&A adviser in the Midlands and announcing the return of their Innovation 50 list, which highlights 50 organisations doing exciting and innovative work across the region.
It was also a year that Mills & Reeve unveiled a fresh new visual brand identity with the launch of its new website. Featuring illustrations of people and industry-focused icons, the dynamic new brand identity aims to show clients what sets the firm apart from other law firms – collaboration, an inclusive culture and cross-sector expertise.
Commenting on the last 12 months, Claire Clarke, Mills & Reeve Managing Partner, said: “It’s been another great year for Mills & Reeve and we are delighted that the hard work of everyone who works at the firm has been formally recognised through a number of major award wins and accolades.
“It’s also pleasing that growth has been achieved at the same time we have invested in a number of high-profile lateral hires in key areas of the business and the implementation of major infrastructure projects, including a new project management system and website.
“The growth of the firm would not be possible without the hard work of our people in delivering outstanding service to our clients. We are also proud that our people and our culture remain front and centre of everything we do and are key to our success.”
Head of the Birmingham office Steve Allen added: “this is a fantastic set of results for the firm with a great contribution being made by our growing business in Birmingham, where our headcount is at its highest ever level, reaching more than 260 for the first time. Our region is well-placed to capitalise on changes in national and global economies and Mills & Reeve’s focus is on tracking those trends and making sure we are there to support our clients, whatever happens.”
