Medieval merriment and a bountiful banquet at Warwick Castle’s new evening events

Dine back in time with the all new Medieval Banquet at Warwick Castle, an immersive and interactive evening feast of fun and food set within the ancient castle. Feast on three courses with drinks and entertainment for only £49 per person on six special Saturdays this year, from March to October, ideal for a date ‘knight’ with a difference or a gleeful get together with friends.

Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a welcome drink in The Kingmaker attraction, which brings to life the story of the fifteenth century Earl of Warwick whose scheming ensured he was one of the most powerful people in medieval England.

Let the feasting commence! Moving to The Undercroft, with its magnificent fourteenth-century vaulted ceiling, guests enjoy their first sight of their elegant banqueting tables, gleaming with earthenware crockery and immaculate silverware.

Live music from minstrels, jokes from the Castle’s court jester and swashbuckling medieval knights provide live entertainment throughout the three-course meal, which is accompanied by a glass of beer or wine. Additional drinks may be ordered and enjoyed as starter, main course and dessert are served by attentive and suitably-attired banqueting attendants.

Melissa Paniccia, History Team Leader at Warwick Castle, said: “Our six new Medieval Banquets evoke the merrymaking and revelry of a time when Warwick was at the epicentre of English high society, the era of the Wars of the Roses. With fine food and drink aplenty served in a sumptuous setting complemented with live entertainment, our Warwick Castle Medieval Banquet is a great ‘knight’ out for any celebration.”

Medieval Banquet at Warwick Castle costs £49 per person including drink upon arrival; three-course medieval style banquet; glass of wine or beer with meal; live entertainment.
