People wanting to dine in style while in the presence of arguably the UK’s greatest ever chef, are being invited to an exclusive event in Nottingham on 27 June.
Taking place at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill on Wollaton Street members of the public will not only be able to sample a special menu designed for the occasion but also meet the great man in person who will be popping in during the day.
Opened in August 2012, the restaurant has already established itself as one of the region’s premier eateries which includes everything one would expect from a traditional steakhouse but with the superior quality synonymous from arguably Britain’s greatest chef and original enfant terrible!
Mark Hands, venue director said: “Marco takes a lot of interest in his restaurants and makes regular visits to make sure the quality of food and the level of service meet his exacting standards.
“To have him visit Nottingham again clearly demonstrates his interest in making sure everything is right for the customers.
“It is also great for the restaurant staff and for them to see Marco and ask him questions. It acts as a great boost to their confidence.”
During his visit Marco will also pay a visit to Clarendon College where he will mingle with students and give them advice on what it takes to become a great chef.
Mark added: “It’s great that someone as busy as Marco is prepared to take time to visit local colleges like Clarendon College to chat to the students. We have great links with the college with many students having gained experience here at the restaurant and it really does help inspire the next generation.”
For those interested in dining at the restaurant on 27 June will be in for a special treat.
Following champagne and canapés starters include soft shell crab, chicken and black pudding terraine or crispy herb gnocchi while the mains are just as mouth-watering with pan fried sea bream, roast rump of lamb or 10oz cote de boeuf on the menu.
No visit to a Marco Pierre White restaurant would be complete without one of his famous puddings and with Cambridge burnt cream, dark chocolate tart and banana Eton mess there to tantalise the taste buds, guests will not be disappointed.
Mark concluded: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming Marco back to Nottingham. He has such a presence his charisma is almost palatable. Last time he was here the staff were buzzing and the atmosphere electric and I’ve no doubt it will be the same on 27 June.”
