Local independent Italian restaurant, Pasta di Piazza, has invested £400,000 into expanding its restaurant after recently celebrating its 20th anniversary last summer.
The expansion comes after popular demand from keen diners at the rustic Italian restaurant and increasing success, meaning the restaurant was having to turn away business, particularly on weekends. Pasta di Piazza has expanded across the whole of the second floor of the venue which now doubles the amount of covers. Turnover is expected to increase by around 30 per cent.
The £400,000 refurb of the top floor of the premises has honoured the original Victorian characteristics of the building, while creating a relaxed and rusting dining environment, in keeping with Pasta di Piazza’s existing theme. This space is also suitable for corporate events and private parties.
‘This is a really exciting step forward for us after having recently celebrated our 20th Anniversary. In a market saturated with plenty of chain restaurants, we’ve managed to keep growing and have our customers returning for our food, service and ambiance. It’s a great testament to the whole team behind Pasta di Piazza and indeed to Birmingham’s independent dining scene.’ says Roni Ferro, Director at Pasta di Piazza.
