Bradin Trubshaw & Kirwan Solicitors is hosting a special Wills Surgery on Saturday 23rd June for any Staffordshire residents who may be unsure of how to go about making a Will, want to confirm that existing ones are legally binding or are seeking to contest the details of a Will made by another person.
Lee Trubshaw, Partner of Bradin Trubshaw & Kirwan Solicitors, believes too many people postpone Will writing without understanding the pitfalls of leaving the future of their estate unresolved. He explained: “Very often people sweep the concept of making a Will under the carpet, as it simply isn’t something they expect to be of relevance in the near future.
“For many it is seen as a document that only needs addressing in later life or when faced with serious illness. This isn’t the case and we cannot emphasise enough how important it is to prepare a Will as soon as possible.
“We hope a free legal surgery will be enough to get people thinking beyond the “here and now” and encourage them to consider where, or to whom, they would want their estate to go.”
He added: “We have the expertise and resources to offer what we believe is valuable advice across a whole range of issues. We hope our commitment to better informing people will give them confidence that their legal documents will be in order in those difficult and often distressing times when Wills have to be enacted.”
Bradin Trubshaw & Kirwan’s Wills Surgery is taking place on Saturday 23rd June from 10am – 2pm in their Lichfield offices at: Cathedral House, Beacon Street, Lichfield WS13 7AA. Appointments are not necessary. For more information please call 01543 421840 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
