Building work has been progressing well at a Stafford housing development, where the final homes are due to be released for sale.
Bellway has been building three, four and five-bedroom homes at Mallard Walk, off Doxey Road, Stafford, with the site proving particularly popular with first-time buyers and young families.
There’s a range of properties remaining for sale, including a good choice of large family houses, but with interest showing no sign of slowing, home-hunters are being urged to take the last opportunities to buy while they still can.
Marie Richards, Sales Director for Bellway West Midlands, said: “We’ve been really pleased with the response we’ve had from buyers to our Mallard Walk development, which is helping to meet the growing need for new homes in Stafford.
“Customers have been attracted by the quality homes we’re building here – which was borne out by the fact our site manager won a Seal of Excellence award from the National House-Building Council last year for the high standard of workmanship across the site.
“The Help to Buy scheme – which gives buyers access to a 20 per cent Government-backed equity loan – has also been really popular here, giving people a helping hand onto or up the property ladder.
“We’re now coming to the final opportunities to buy here, and with demand continuing to run high, I’d advise anyone hoping to make Mallard Walk their home to act now, or risk missing out.”
Help to Buy allows purchasers to buy a new-build home with a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent is provided in the form of an equity loan from the Government, which is interest free for the first five years of homeownership.
