Largest Artisan Independent Coffee Shop in the Midlands opens in Millennium Point

photo_57The widely anticipated opening of the actual Six Eight Kafé coffee shop finally happened with an exciting launch party. The new shop marked a big difference from the temporary pop-up stand and the original store at Temple Row.

The huge forty foot counter dominates the shop and is a marked difference from normal artisan coffee shops which tend to be small and tucked away from the high street.

“We wanted to make a statement” said Jason Goodger, manager of Six Eight Kafé “ that being artisan doesn’t necessarily mean having to be small. All fans of the original Six Eight shop will instantly recognise the design of the counter. The big difference being that it is over three times as long as the original”.

The launch party on the 12th February offically marked the opening of the store and was attended by the city’s food bloggers and other top artisan food and drink operators. The coffee shop treated the attendees to a night of music and used the occasion to showcase it’s food menu exclusively designed for events.
