Kammac joins the Pallet-Track network

Kammac Ltd, a family-run third party logistics specialist with more than 30 years’ experience in the sector, has joined the Pallet-Track network.

Formed in the 1980s by managing director Paul Kamel, Kammac provides nationwide supply chain management services to a range of companies from both their own and client sites.

The company, which prides itself on strong family values, has bases in Lancashire, Merseyside, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire and boasts an annual turnover of £28 million.

It employs more than 350 people and specialises in contract logistics, warehousing, distribution, onsite logistics, contract packing and intervention, along with keg and cask rental and sale.

Kammac will cover the WA postcode area on behalf of the Pallet-Track network and will also form part of the new
£10 million Northern Hub, following Abbey Logistics’ announcement that it is leaving to focus on the development of its road tanker and value-added services.

Kammac is working to offer staff affected by the Abbey Logistics announcement the opportunity to transfer their employment to the company. The number this offer will be extended to will run into at least double figures.

Wolverhampton-based logistics specialist Pallet-Track, which was founded in 2004, recently recorded its 20 millionth pallet milestone.

Founder and managing director Nigel Parkes said: “We’ve been in discussions with Kammac since we knew of Abbey Logistics’ plans. Kammac is a first-class company which shares the same core values as Pallet-Track and wanted to be part of our network, so we are delighted to welcome them on board.

“We are thoroughly looking forward to working with them over the coming years and combining our collective experience to provide an efficient, value-for-money service for our customers.”

Kammac managing director Paul Kamel said: “We’re delighted to become part of the Pallet Track network. This partnership will only strengthen our commitment to providing a complete logistics service when coupled with our current warehousing, on-site logistics, contract packing and transport solutions.

“Pallet Track is a like-minded, quality-driven business who share our ambition to provide excellent service at competitive rates in such a challenging market.”
