A famous Midland canalside pub restaurant is bringing a touch of Italian sunshine to Staffordshire with a special tasting evening.
The Plum Pudding in Armitage is holding an Italian tasting evening on Saturday, June 29 to showcase some of the restaurant’s Italian classics. Guests will get six courses, plus a glass of prossecco to start and coffee to finish. Dishes will include crostini, stuffed courgettes, risotto, parma-wrapped chicken breast, prawns and panna cotta.
The Plum Pudding, in Rugeley Road, Armitage, on the banks of the Trent and Mersey canal has been serving Italian cuisine for nearly five years under the stewardship of owner and chef Giuseppe Iaconi.
“We have had very successful Italian gourmet evenings in the past, so the event on Saturday is to showcase some of the food we cook here,” he said.
Booking for the Italian gourmet evening – at £24.95 a head – can be done by ringing 01543 490330.
