Lovers of Stateside streetwear can get their hands on the hottest collection from hip-hop trio Migos at Selfridges Birmingham.
The premium department store is exclusive stockist in the city for the collection, which is inspired by the artwork from their latest album Culture II. The limited edition capsule includes a cotton jersey hoody emblazoned with two tigers prowl around a budding rose at the chest, with four renditions of the band name trimming the outside (£95) and a cotton t-shirt stamped with the iconic UFO artwork to the chest. The collection also includes baseball caps (£40).
Migos, worn by American rapper Kendrick Lamar, is joined by streetwear designer Heron Preston, who has collaborated with NASA to create retro-inspired lines for men and women, including socks (£60) and a high-tech padded shell parka (£1,235). Selfridges Birmingham is also stocking Heron Preston’s СТИЛЬ (Russian for ‘Style’) collection.
Milanese label Palm Angels, the luxury relaxed streetwear-inspired label, is also available, with collections for men and women. A relaxed tracksuit jacket has on-trend wide stripes down the sleeves and bears the Palm Angels logo at the chest (£275), while athleisure cool tartan jersey jogging bottoms take their inspiration from Venice Beach (£335).
Sam Watts, general manager of Selfridges Birmingham, said: “American urban wear is a really hot trend and with a focus on luxe lines, our collections from Migos, Palm Angels and Heron Preston are attracting a lot of interest from those who love something different from the norm.”
