Two colleagues from the Saddlers Shopping Centre in Walsall and its managing agent, DTZ took to the skies in the name of charity by participating in a sponsored sky dive.

Laura Guest, Administrator at the Saddlers Shopping Centre and Hayley Whitehouse, Finance Administrator at DTZ’s Birmingham Office took part in the sky dive at Langar Airfield in Nottingham on 26 June. They jumped 12,500 ft, raising £500 for the NSPCC.

Laura Guest said: “It was an amazing experience and great to raise money for such a good cause.”

Hayley Whitehouse added: “It was a brilliant experience and I would definitely do it again!”

Angela Henderson, Centre Manager at the Saddlers Shopping Centre and Robert Heald, Senior Surveyor in DTZ’s Retail Management team were pleased that Laura and Hayley were finally able to complete the jump as it had to be delayed twice due to poor weather conditions. Robert Heald commented: “Laura has recently joined the team at Saddlers Shopping Centre to assist the existing management team, and we are thrilled with the enthusiastic start she has made. This charity work demonstrates her willingness to go that extra mile, though we never dreamt the extra mile would be vertically upwards! We hope Laura will continue to aim high in her role at the Shopping Centre.

NSPCC Community Fundraiser, Tracey Goodwin said: “We are always thrilled when people choose to raise funds for the NSPCC and a charity skydive is the ideal event for thrill-seekers looking to test their nerve and raise money for a good cause. By raising sponsorship, Laura and Hayley’s skydive will help the NSPCC continue in its vital work with children and young people. We are really grateful to Laura and Hayley for choosing to raise money for us and I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of the NSPCC.”
