Local wine distributor, Frazier’s Wine Merchants (based in Solihull) has secured a new contract with Warwickshire countryside hotel and restaurant Arrow Mill, a cosy countryside retreat in the heart of rural Warwickshire.
The independent, country hotel has been owned by Simon Woodhams and his family for the past 30 years. Simon prides himself in serving high quality, homemade food using locally sourced ingredients, right down to the freshly picked wild garlic and berries. With such a strong emphasis on food quality, Simon realised that he required a wine list that would complement his menu and has put his trust in the team at Frazier’s to create an entire new wine list.
Simon Woodhams, Owner and Chef, comments: “It’s great that Frazier’s are also a family owned business and I like the wines they offer are more personal and of better quality than the mass-produced wines you are offered from the big chains. This ultimately gives us more flexibility and allows us to provide the best possible wine list for our customers to enjoy”.
Surrounded by a spectacular riverside setting, the Arrow Mill was once a working flour mill and was even mentioned in the Domesday Book when it was valued at three shillings and six pence, approximately the equivalent to 17½p.
