A specialist car servicing centre in Hereford has moved to larger premises after securing a £25,500 loan from Lloyds TSB Commercial.
Established in 1997, Gerry Doverman Ltd caters for Mercedes, BMW and Porsche vehicles and provides servicing, maintenance and diagnostics for customers across Herefordshire.
Following increased customer demand for its comprehensive service, the business identified a vacant site on the Worcester Road, and switched lenders to Lloyds TSB Commercial to secure the funding to help the firm relocate to the larger premises.
The company will also be using the funds to install a MOT testing bay, which will enable the business to increase the services it can offer customers. The new site, which opened last month, includes eight workbays and a contemporary customer waiting area.
Martin Johnson, Service Director at Gerry Doverman, said: “I have been in the motor trade for 40 years, and after joining Gerry in the business last October it was clear that expanding the service operation was instrumental for the growth of the company.
“The larger space enables us to work on more vehicles at a time, and the MOT bay means we will no longer have to use external garages to carry out these customer requirements on our behalf, and we are hoping to take on more staff in the next six months.”
Gerry Doverman, Managing Director, said: “From the outset the team at Lloyds TSB Commercial have been supportive of our plans, which made the switch between banking providers a hassle-free process, and the funding means we are starting 2013 in a strong position to develop the business.”
“I am very proud of the great team of staff that work here and we all look forward to a great business future with the help of Lloyds TSB Commercial.”
Neil Herbert, relationship manager at Lloyds TSB Commercial, said: “Gerry Doverman is a well-established outlet for car owners across Herefordshire looking for a dedicated and professional service centre.
“The new premises and MOT bay installation increases the sales opportunities for the business, which is the only one of its kind to exclusively service high end vehicles across the region, and the funding we provided enabled the realisation of the first stage of the company’s ambitious growth plans.
“We are committed to supporting firms, like Gerry Doverman, that are looking to develop a long-term future and adapt in what is a challenging economic climate, and in the first nine months of 2012 we lent £10 billion to SMEs across the UK.”
