The event, hosted by Gold Chamber members George Green LLP and barristers from No5 Chambers in Birmingham, will bring their first-hand knowledge and experience of representing clients at the Employment Tribunal from a vast array of cases.
Understanding the process and what’s involved can help decision makers within a business become more confident about handling potential disputes, with the audience getting an opportunity to explore the ins and outs of an unfair dismissal case and follow the evidence with case work notes and background evidence.
During the course of the morning delegates will see a live mock hearing take place from start to finish including witnesses giving evidence and cross-examination by barristers.
The case will end with the Employment Tribunal judge making a decision on the evidence presented, and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the process, as well as an opportunity to vote on what they think is the right result.
There will be an opportunity to play the role of witnesses in the case – and the Chamber are asking anyone attending if they’d like to take part and help present the evidence.
The event will highlight how actions taken by an employer can become key features within a hearing and how information is used in order for a decision to be made.
A must attend event for anyone involved in HR and management responsibility; along with business owners, finance directors and those wishing to improve their knowledge of the tribunal process.
The case will be judged by Tim Lang, Head of Employment at George Green LLP, and an Employment Tribunal judge in the South East Region.
