Colmore Tang Construction recognised by industry with prestigious award

The Colmore Tang Construction Team celebrate a win at the Construction Enquirer Awards 2017

Birmingham-based contractor Colmore Tang Construction has been named Best Contractor To Work With (Under £50 million) at the Construction Enquirer Awards 2017.

Hosted by TV personality and architect George Clarke and comedian Seann Walsh this year, the Construction Enquirer Awards pays tribute to the industry’s best companies to work for and the best firms to do business with.

Voted for by subcontractors and suppliers, Colmore Tang Construction received recognition for its excellent payment terms and reliability – something which the contractor has prided itself on since day one.

Andy Robinson, CEO of the Colmore Tang Construction Group, said: “When we started out in 2013 we were adamant we would always offer our supply chain attractive payment terms and guarantee they would be paid on time.

“Late payment and disputes over money are unfortunately not uncommon in the construction industry but it has always been a key focus of ours to ensure subcontractors and suppliers can rely on us.”

Voters were asked to cast their vote based on which companies are leading the way when it comes to dealing with suppliers – focusing on everything from payment practices and safety regulations to the management of projects, including communication with the supply chain throughout the build process.

Andy added: “As a contractor, the relationship we build with our supply chain is invaluable so we are delighted that they have voted for us and recognised us with this award – it is a real achievement for the business.”

Established four years ago, Colmore Tang Construction has recently opened its brand new state-of-the-art headquarters at Five Ways, Birmingham, following an extensive refurbishment of the former office building.

The award-winning contractor was also responsible for developing the impressive 253-bedroom four-star Park Regis Hotel in Birmingham – the first Park Regis Hotel in Europe – and has now completed more than 1,200 residential units with a further 3,500 planned for the future.
