Brindleyplace is kicking off the festive season with a brand new Alpine Market in Central Square, bringing après-ski to the estate for the first time.

Taking place between 1 and 23 December, the Alpine Market will bring traditional chalets, live music and a host of Yuletide treats to Brindleyplace.

Nathan Sanghera, Marketing and Events Executive at Brindleyplace, said: “Christmas is definitely in the air at Brindleyplace, with a stunning 30ft tree in Central Square and our 27 bars, cafés and restaurants already bustling with people getting in the party spirit and trying out the new festive menus – thanks to our new Alpine Market there’s even more on offer this year!

“From 1 December, Central Square will be full of chalets selling tasty treats, stocking fillers and of course a festive tipple or two! So whether you’re looking for a festive day out with family and friends or just want to give your after work drinks an après-ski feel for December, there really is something for everyone.”

Open from 11am to 9pm daily, the Alpine Market at Brindleyplace will have a selection of stalls selling everything from crepes to charcuterie, gingerbread to glühwein*, hot chocolate to handcrafted gifts and more.

And with another festive date for the diary, Brindleyplace will be hosting Birmingham St. Mary’s Light up a Life concert in Oozells Square on Thursday 30 November. The alternative Christmas light switch-on is a celebration and remembrance of the lives of family and friends with visitors invited to dedicate a light to a loved one and write a name on a star that will be placed around the estate’s second Christmas tree located in Oozells Square and in the Hospice Book of Remembrance.

Nathan continued: “This year we’re proud to be working with one of our charity partners, Birmingham St. Mary’s Hospice, to bring Light up a Life to Brindleyplace for the first time and celebrate the lives of loved ones on Thursday 30 November in Oozells Square.”
