A team of workers from the Leek branch of Buildbase are growing moustaches to raise funds for Douglas Macmillan Hospice.
It is the second year that the team have supported the Blurton-based Hospice with their fundraising activities.
David Oakes from the building firm alongside Harold Jennings, Darren Turner, Michael Marlow and Mick Singh will start their challenge at the start of November, as part of Dougie Mac’s ‘Man up Month’, which urges supporters to do something manly for money.
David Oakes from Buildbase commented,
“Cancer is an illness that touches all of us in some walk of like one way or another and we are both proud and honoured to do our bit, as small as it is to help support the fantastic Douglas Mcmillan Hospice.”
Liz Clarke, Head of Fundraising added,
“We would like to thank the team from Buildbase for their support of Man up Month. We have plenty going on during November to help raise funds for the Hospice, and it’s not too late to register your interest.
“All monies raised from Man Up Month activities, will help the Hospice continue to provide the highest level of care for local people facing life limiting illnesses.”
