Cooper Parry’s IT team have been named finalists at the British Accountancy Awards 2013 in the ‘client software product of the year’ category for their specialist haulage and logistics software, NAVistics.
Launched in January 2013 and created by the company’s IT solutions team, NAVistics provides hauliers and logistics firms with a one-stop cloud computing system to manage core aspects of their business such as: cash flow, customer data, shipment tracking and warehouse management.
Cooper Parry’s IT services are proving popular with businesses in the East Midlands and beyond – the company has recently taken on six new team members to accommodate the department’s increasing output.
Raj Dhadda has joined the team in Nottingham as an infrastructure project manager and Craig Sharpe has been taken on as an IT helpdesk technician, offering front-line help and support to Cooper Parry’s clients. Josh Cato, Liam Waldron, Ryan Wright and Jakob Callahan have been hired as young apprentices and will gain on the job training and IT qualifications.
Raj, an ITIL-certified project manager who has been working in IT for over 12 years, said: “I’ve been brought in to manage some major improvements to Cooper Parry’s IT services, the first of which is the development of our IT helpdesk so that customers get a faster, simpler and more proactive service. I’ll be implementing the ITIL principles to make the service more efficient.
“This is an exciting time to join the IT team here and I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues on a number of projects.”

As well as the new appointments, the IT team has also seen a number of promotions – Ian Kersey, Nicola Rogers, Steve Brooks and Alan Rodda have all been promoted to assistant manager within the IT solutions team in Derby. Kim Wainwright, also from the same team has been promoted to manager.
Cooper Parry’s NAVistics product has recently been named finalist in the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Awards for Excellence.
