A lawyer from Birmingham-based Anthony Collins Solicitors has been highly-commended at a prestigious industry awards event.
Kate Jackson, a solicitor in Private Legal Services at the firm, was runner-up in the Assistant Solicitor of theYear category at The Lawyer Awards.
She was recognised for her dedicated work with clients, as well as her commitment to charity and community causes.
Kate has developed a specialist practice in Court of Protection litigation to complement the long standing mental health work of the firm. She is regularly instructed in complex welfare matters and is recognised for her expertise in this emerging field.
She was instrumental in setting up the Court of Protection users’ group in Birmingham to provide a forum for legal professionals who work in these sensitive areas of the law.
Kate, along with three colleagues, also recently raised more than £15,000 for 10 charities by running four 10km races, four half-marathons and four marathons in 12 months.
