Angela celebrates three decades of success

Henshalls Angela PicA Shropshire woman is celebrating after clocking up three decades of service at a local insurance firm.

Angela Fowles has worked for Henshalls Insurance Brokers in their offices on Newport High Street for 30 years, and her dedication and commitment to the company has been praised by the management team.

She joined the company initially on a Youth Training Scheme (YTS) placement in 1977 – and apart from a break for maternity leave, Angela has worked for Henshalls ever since.

After being interviewed and appointed by John Henshall himself, Angela joined the typing pool as an audio typist, before becoming Mr Henshall’s personal assistant – a role she now fulfils for directors Dave Williams and Antony Hughes.
Henshalls Director Mark Freeman said Angela played an integral part in the company team, and her administrative skills were second-to-none.

“Angela is capable of handling almost every role in the company, and she is very willing to fit in wherever we need her support.

“She is an employee who appreciates the need for everyone to work together efficiently and cohesively, and does her utmost to ensure the office runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

“As directors we would be lost without her and we have often said how useful it would be if we could find another ‘Angela’ to add to our team.”

Henshalls has over 40 years’ experience in the insurance industry and serves both the local community and clients further afield across the UK.

The team delivers high quality customer service for both commercial and personal insurance clients, and as well as its head office in Newport, the company has also opened an office in Shrewsbury as a direct result of customer demand.
