Following the acquisition of the prestigious Callow Hall in Ashbourne, Elyzian Hospitality has announced key promotions at Callow Hall’s multi-award winning sister establishment, East Lodge country house hotel and restaurant at Rowsley in the Peak District.
Simon Bradley has been elevated from his previous position of head chef at East Lodge, to Executive Group Chef – overseeing the kitchens at the two Derbyshire venues.
With a culinary CV to be envied, Simon has trained as an apprentice chef at the Ritz in Paris before working under Raymond Blanc, honing and perfecting his skills at two Michelin star-rated le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons. Simon has also worked alongside the BBC’s Great British Menu critic, Oliver Peyton and recently gained East Lodge its prestigious triple Rosette status from the AA, placing East Lodge in the top 10% of restaurants in the UK.
Stepping in to Simon’s boots as Head Chef at East Lodge is Ben Wilkinson. A key member of the East Lodge kitchen brigade, Ben has worked his way up to the position of head chef under Simon’s guidance and as sous chef was a crucial member of the team as East Lodge gained its triple Rosette status last year.
