Institute of Directors (IoD) Northamptonshire Members and guests will literally get a taste of two of the county’s successful businesses at an event on Thursday 11 April.
Bill Hulme, owner of Fleur Fields Vineyard and Steve Ward, owner of St Giles cheese will describe how their companies started and have grown in Northamptonshire.
The early evening social networking event (starting at 5pm) at the Sunley Conference Centre, The University of Northampton, will feature sampling a wide range of award-winning wines and an excellent selection of complementary cheeses.
Sarah Canning, IoD Northamptonshire Chairman commented: ”Northamptonshire has been recognised as the most enterprising place in Britain. This event will feature two companies who demonstrate such enterprise.” Bookings can be made via www.iod.com/eastmidlands.
In February the IoD Northamptonshire branch held a successful event reviewing the finance and banking sector. In June there will be two events in collaboration with other institutes. There will be an up-date on the economy from the IoD’s Chief Economist and Director of Policy, Graeme Leach on 11 June, in association with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. On Wed 19 June there will be a business event on Effective Purchasing with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and Women in Logistics UK (WIL).
